Below are our 6 core values that define "Who We Are" at Redeemer Covenant Church.  With each core value below, there is also a link where you can hear Pastor Mark' Mohrweis' message that correlates to each value.

These six values are not our systematic theology.  Instead, they are core principles that we believe our church needs to live out in order to fulfill its mission.

Redemption- At Redeemer we believe that a relationship with Jesus Christ can bring about redemption for people- redemption from huge mistakes, from guilt and shame, and from past, present, and future sins.  Redemption is an ongoing process, which we celebrate every week and which we hope takes place in every person who encounters our church.

Connection & Community- At Redeemer we believe that God works not only in our individual lives but also through our connections with others.  We will foster church community by serving on ministry teams, offering community groups for discipleship, and making personal connection a priority during our Sunday morning worship service.  In addition, we will not retreat from our community, Carrollton, but seek to be connected to its physical and spiritual prosperity.

Authenticity - At Redeemer we are aware that churches often hide their embarrassing faults and operate on a superficial to please people.  We reject this notion, knowing that God will expose all deeds to the light and we will do our best to live with integrity-honestly, transparently, and graciously- before Christ.

Resourcefulness- At Redeemer we believe that God has given us the gifts of resources and creativity.  We believe that many gifts- especially the gifts of children and the elderly- are neglected by the Church Universal and are convinced that our church is a place where ‘diamonds in the rough’ can flourish.  We seek a focused mission in our community while at the same time utilizing all of the tools, ideas, and people that God has blessed us with.

Diversity- At Redeemer we seek to be a welcoming place for people from a variety of backgrounds.  This can mean diversity in age, diversity in Christian faith (welcoming people from other denominations), diversity in economic class, diversity in race and diversity in perspective.  We will seek to honor that diversity in our worship, in our community groups, and in recognizing our mission field.

Healing- At Redeemer we, along with the Church Universal, acknowledge the reality of sin in our world and the damage it can do to groups and individuals.  We embrace the command of our Lord to heal the nations, to restore individuals to right relationship with God, and to seek healing for our members.  We acknowledge that healing can involve both physical restoration of health as well as spiritual and emotional healing from past life events or disappointments.  We will seek God’s healing for all aspects of life.
